This Grant Application Guide is intended to walk applicants though the process of packaging and submitting their application through Grants.gov. We have included step-by-step instructions for each section of the workspace application and associated webforms. In the pages that follow, the webforms are addressed in the order in which applicants will encounter them in the application workspace and for those forms that are particularly complex, we have broken them down into more manageable sections so as to not overwhelm users with information. Where appropriate, we also provide sample documents and instructions for additional forms that are not included as webforms but may be necessary for the application package.
Users will note that we have included "Pro tips" on the right hand side of the screen and links to Phase 0 tutorials, websites, and other useful resources that are relevant to each section. We encourage users to take the time to review these resources to help ease the application process and produce a responsive application.
Before jumping into the webforms and the application workspace, applicants should take a moment to download and review the DOE Application Checklist. This checklist is extremely useful and applicants should use it to ensure that all required application materials are included in the package.
