Section Basics 

Provide a bibliography of any references cited in the Project Narrative.  Each reference must include the names of all authors (in the same sequence in which they appear in the publication), the article and journal title, book title, volume number, pages numbers, and year of publication.  Include only bibliographic citations.  Applicants should be especially careful to follow the guidance provided by the Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) when citing source materials relied upon in any section of the application.  A link to the EERE Style Guide is listed at right.  The Bibliography & References Cited section does count against the Phase I Project Narrative 15-page limit. 

Goals 

1. Include a list of research references that is directly related to the problem and to your solution.
2. Include a list of any references cited in the Project Narrative. 
3. Be sure that the list of references you include indicates that you are familiar with the problem and/or opportunity and that supports the innovative nature of your solution.
