R&R Subaward Budget Attachments Form | In the Grant Application Package in Workspace, check the box at “R&R Subaward Budget Attachments Form” |
Go to Subforms | - Click on the “Go to Subforms” button under the form.
- A dialog window will open.
- Click on the “Add Subform Row” button.
- Another dialog box will open requesting a Subform Name.
- Provide a name that is related to the subaward budget you are completing and click “Save.”

Go to Subforms | - Once you have successfully saved and named the subform, you will be able to access the subaward budget form by clicking “Go to Subforms.”
- To download the subaward budget, click “download.”
- To access the webform, click “webform.”

Download as pdf or complete as webform | - The subaward budget may be downloaded and emailed to the consortium/RI/subcontractor or you may have them access the form through your Workspace.
- If you choose the download method, please be advised that the subawardees must have a compatible version of Adobe installed on their computer before the form can be completed.
- If you choose to have a pdf version of the R&R Subaward Budget completed, once you receive the file back, click the “Go to Subforms” button and once in the “Manage R&R Subawards Budget Attachment(s) Form” box, select “upload” where you will be able to select the correct file from your directory.
- File names should include up to 10 letters of the subawardee’s name but not exceed 50 letters. The file should be attached as a pdf.
- Ensure that any files received from subawardees are the PDF files extracted from the SUBAWARD BUDGET ATTACHMENT(S) FORM. Errors will be created if a subawardee sends a prime applicant a budget form that was not extracted from the application package. Do not use a sub-award budget downloaded directly from grants.gov or any source other than the application package.

R&R Subaward Budget fields | - The subawardee(s) should complete all budget information as instructed in the R&R Budget component instructions.
- Note the Organizational UEI and Name of Organization fields on the subaward budget should reflect that of the subaward/consortium/RI.
- A fee (Budget Section J.) cannot be entered for a subaward/consortium/RI budget. This fee is only allowable for the small business applicant organization.

Budget Justification Form | - The subawardee(s) should complete the Budget Justification Form as instructed in the Budget Justification instructions.
- Upload a pdf of the subawardee(s) Budget Justification Form in the designated field on the Subawardee Budget Form. Use the subawardee’s name in the file name.
- STTR: If more than one Subaward is included in the STTR application, identify the single partnering research institution on the RI Subaward Budget Justification page.
