While it is essential that you enter the PI’s data and biographical sketch first in this application section, the order in which you list the other key contributors and their biosketches is flexible and it may be in the applicant’s best interest to be strategic and list the most impressive or prestigious contributors first.  As the biosketches will likely be read in the order in which they were uploaded, entering those with the most impressive resumes first will make a stronger impression on the reviewers. All other senior and key persons can then be entered alphabetically, by last name.

Note, once you have entered the data for one Senior/Key Person, click the “Next Person” button on the bottom right and the system will create another set of data fields.  You may also delete an entry by clicking the “Delete Entry” button on the bottom left side of the form.

If your application includes more than 20 persons in this section, after adding 20 persons, please save your application, close Adobe Reader, and reopen it.  For applications involving more than 40 persons, the “Additional Senior/Key Person Profiles” fields will become available once data for the first 40 persons has been provided.

Helpful Tips:

  • Carefully consider the relative importance, prestige, and accomplishments of any Senior/Key Personnel that have agreed to work on your proposed project.  The persons that you chose for these roles should help demonstrate that your team has the necessary abilities and experience to carry out the proposed research.
  • List the Senior/Key personnel with the most significant resumes first as these are the files that the reviewers will encounter first.
  • Make sure that you begin collecting information for the biosketches early so that you can ensure the proper format and that the information is up to date.
  • If your application includes more than 20 persons in this section, after adding 20 persons, please save your application, close Adobe Reader, and reopen it.  This will ensure that all information is saved properly.
